Marianna B. Ganapini (PhD, Johns Hopkin University) is currently an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Union College, a Researcher at the Montreal AI Ethics Institute (MAIEI) & a Fellow at ForHumanity.
She has numerous peer-reviewed publications and, at MAIEI, she is currently working on several projects on disinformation, content moderation and harm. With MAIEI, she is also developing an ethics of AI curriculum aimed at bridging the gap between ethics, governance and real world solutions.
With For Humanity she is working on an Independent Audit of AI Systems. Her academic research lives at the intersection between the philosophy of mind and psychology: she is currently working on projects on the nature of beliefs, on our reasoning and on the source of human irrationality.
