Stig Nikolaj Blomberg has developed and implemented a machine learning based tool which helps medical dispatchers recognize cardiac arrest in calls to 1-1-2. Stig Nikolaj Blomberg in his Ph.D. investigates whether the machine learning model could recognize OHCA faster and more frequent than the trained medical dispatchers and identify possible caller or patient subgroups that were more prone to bias from the medical dispatchers or machine learning model. The effect of the machine learning model on medical dispatchers recognion was tested in a randomized clinical trial.
