Elina Sagne-Ollikainen
RDI specialist, Arcada University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, Finland
Elina currently works at Arcada’s Research, Development and Innovation Unit in Helsinki, Finland. She has a Master’s Degree in Healthcare and Social service from Arcada.
Elina’s background is in both the private and public sector of healthcare. Her deepest experience comes from the NGO sector, specifically advocacy work for persons with disabilities. She has been a delegate in the national network for improving living conditions for disabled children and youth in Finland and a board member of Disability Partnership Finland.
Elina has +12 years of experience in writing project appraisals, coordinating, leading and implementing projects and co-operating within different stakeholders and networks. Elina is a physiotherapist and has developed her skillset further by studies in Global healthcare and Emergency preparedness in 2017 as well as Corporate Social Responsibility in 2018 at Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki, Finland.
Her international experience includes several episodes of completing studies abroad, with focus on physiotherapy, pediatric neurology as well as studies in human rights (KU Leuven in Belgium 2005, Universitat de Valencia- Escuela de Fisioterápia in Spain 2003-2004 and Universidad Pontificia Católica de Santiago de Chile 2012).
Her research interest lies in human rights practices, expert work and organizations.
