Shomit Ghose is a partner at Clearvision Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture fund focused on energy and infrastructure sustainability. Previously, he was a general partner at ONSET Ventures, where he led investments in early-stage, data-centric startups from 2001 to 2021. Before venture capital, Shomit spent 19 years as a startup entrepreneur, contributing to successful exits at Sun Microsystems, Broadvision, and Tumbleweed.
He has taught data and AI at UC Berkeley since 2018 and is an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at the University of San Francisco. Shomit also advises at UC Riverside and serves on various boards and scientific advisory committees in the US and Europe. He holds a computer science degree from UC Berkeley.
