Elizabeth Hofvenschiöld is a professor at ESB Business School whose research examines strategy, futures thinking, and the ethical implications of AI and automated‑vehicle technologies.

She previously worked at Mercedes‑Benz AG, contributing to the development of ethical guidelines for automated driving systems and their integration into the company’s governance and product development structures.

Elizabeth was part of the team that wrote the ISO 39003 standard on ethical considerations for autonomous‑vehicle safety. Her work also includes serving on the Z-Inspection®  team collaborating with the VALIDATE project on the co‑design of an AI‑based prognostic tool for acute stroke outcomes.

Earlier roles at Vodafone and other companies focused on user experience and human‑centered design.
