Adriano Lucieri

Adriano is currently pursuing his PhD at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern (TUK) and works as a research assistant at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) GmbH in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
He received his B.Eng. in Mechatronics from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), Mannheim and his M.Sc. in Mechatronic Systems Development from Pforzheim University in Germany.
His research focuses on the development and application of methods that improve the explainability of Deep Learning-based computer-assisted diagnosis (CAD) systems for medical image analysis. His work includes the generation of concept-based quantitative explanations for the DL-based classification of skin lesions as well as the localization of distinct concept regions in images.
