Currently, Anette is Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Law, University of Helsinki. She has conducted research and taught at Faculty since 2007. Previously, Anette has also been working as post-doc researcher at the University of Lapland, as Visiting Scholar at Aalto University (Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, HIIT), as well as at the Market Court of Finland, among others.

Anette is an ICT law expert. Alongside legal studies, she has studied communications and social psychology, with a special focus on the interaction between humans and machines. Anette conducts multi- and interdisciplinary research mainly in the fields of digital media, intellectual property, and data protection law, including also the legal dimensions of AI. She has published extensively in her fields of interest.
