Adam Golda is a Cardiologist working in the Department of Cardiology, 4th Gliwice Municipal Hospital, Gliwice, Poland. Dr Golda obtained his medical degree from the Medical University of Silesia, Katowice, Poland, as well as his PhD degree with summa cum lauda in molecular cardiology and gene therapy from Westphalia Wilhelm University, Münster, Germany. For his PhD thesis he was granted an annual prize from the University Heart Centre in Münster for the best cardiovascular dissertation in 2007.
Dr Golda completed his residency in internal medicine at the Clinical Department of Cardiology, Congenital Heart Diseases and Electrotherapy, Silesian Centre for Heart Diseases, Zabrze, Poland, as well as his fellowship in cardiology at the Department of Cardiology, Gliwice Medical Centre, Gliwice, Poland. His areas of expertise in cardiology are echocardiography, coronary artery disease, heart failure and invasive cardiology.
Dr Golda is a member of Polish Society of Cardiology. In 2012, he obtained the Annual Prize and Research Grant from the Polish Society of Cardiology to study the effect of arylsulphatase B deficiency on function of endothelial and vascular smooth muscle cells.
Dr Golda’s research interests lie in cardiological aspects of rare diseases, blood flow modelling in human arteries and lastly in AI. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications with Hirsch Index 12.
