Currently Karin’s work lies at the intersection of Technology, Innovation and Law.
As a legal-tech entrepreneur, she is leading a project whose objectives are twofold: making legal advice accessible and promoting a simpler & more comprehensible legal knowledge to citizens.
As an independent researcher in Artificial Intelligence (Law & Ethics) she investigates ways to foster an inclusive & responsible development of AI. Along these lines, she has joined the Data Driven Technology & Equality working group at “The Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law” and the “European AI Alliance”. Karin’s main research interests include: the legal and ethical implications of AI and Big Data; Algorithmic prediction; Bias, Discrimination, Accountability, Transparency and Explainability of AI and AI Governance.
She has experience in the legal sector, insurance and pharmaceutical sectors.
