Christian Hinske is full professor and chair for data management and digital medicine at the University Hospital of Augsburg.

He is director of the Institute for Digital Medicine that focuses on different aspects of digital health and medical informatics, such as federated analyses, data warehousing, shallow and deep learning methods for medical datasets, clinical high performance
computing, clinical utility of large language models, and methods of clinical innovation transfer. He holds a MSc in biomedical informatics from MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, as well as medical degree from LMU in Munich, Germany. He gained clinical expertise as an  anesthesiologist with significant ICU experience.
