Matiss Ozols has a background in Medical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Machine learning and Biochemistry and his previous work has focussed on investigating skin aging and disease.
His work focuses on i) the identification of novel therapeutic targets for ageing and disease, ii) complex data integration in novel bioinformatic pipelines and iii) data visualization on the web by developing novel databases, bioinformatic tools and web interfaces which integrate machine learning, deep learning and statistical methods.
Matiss is passionate in driving advancement in advancing the fundamental biological knowledge driven by analytics of cutting edge biological datasets and guide the transformations in disease management and prevention and prediction.
