Oliver Y. Chén

Oliver Y. Chén is Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Statistical Science at the University of Lausanne and is responsible for the Platform of Bioinformatics at Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). Previously, he was University Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics at the University of Bristol.
He obtained his academic training in engineering (PhD, Oxford), neurobiology (Honorary Fellow, University College London), psychology (Research Associate, Yale), biostatistics (Master, Johns Hopkins), theoretical statistics (Research Assistant, Northwestern) and mathematical statistics (Master, Washington).
He received his clinical training at the University Hospital Brussels (Honorary Research Fellow in Clinical Neurology) and the National Multiple Sclerosis Center, and industry training at F. Hoffmann-La Roche in Basel (Pharma Research and Early Development – pRED) and at Axio Research in Seattle. He is a Member of the Statistical and Technical Advisory Group to the United Nations (United Nations Trade and Development (UNCTAD)).
