Chiara Demartini is an associate professor in financial and management accounting at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Pavia, where she teaches at the undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD level. She is visiting scholar and visiting professor at the
School of Management, Lancaster University, UK. She is also co-editor of the journal SN Business & Economics, Springer. Maria Chiara participated in several research projects on higher education and quality assurance mechanisms. Some of them have a global focus, such as LASALUS and ESAGOV projects, some others, such as ISPEHE and HEIPNET, are more focussed on the European contexts.
She also collaborates with the English General Medical Council on research projects linking higher medical education and outcomes of care. Chiara is head of the Leadership School in “Performance management in healthcare organisations” aimed at providing assurance and quality mechanisms to assess the healthcare systems.
The school is organised together with Health Education England and Anglia Ruskin University.
